about

“House of Cards’ reveals Zosel’s true pop leanings. He had written the narrative months prior, but it came to life after an impromptu jam session with a friend who played him a South American-flavored chord progression that he deemed to be a ‘Beatles-esque’ sounding groove. After toying with that sound, and radically extending the main phrases, it proved to be the perfect melodic foundation for his ‘House of Cards’ narrative. It came together very quickly, and ‘wrote itself.’

lyrics

You ridicule all my little whims and all my moods
that I throw at you oooooh oooooh oooooh oooooh

This tiny room, I share with you
we've outgrown the love, I thought we built for Two
oooooh oooooh

CHORUS
Love….(uh uh uh) is house of cards
When you push too hard - comes crashing down
I - I love you now - just the way you are

I’m not in the mood, to tell you the truth
Spit out the words, the way you want me to
oooooh oooooh
CHORUS

BRIDGE
I’m a falling kite
You’re a shining star
You’re my pill in the night
And I need you now
yeah I need you now
